Dolly Saves The Day

April 6, 2011

The story about Dotty, the donkey, (see below) is a fine example of how very protective a donkey can be when it has bonded with a companion animal.  The operative word here is ‘bonded’, however.  Results would probably not have been the same if Dolly had been plunked into the middle of a flock of sheep with the expectation that she would be inclined to protect them all.  That is seldom, if ever, the case.  Meanwhile, this condition does not take away from the fact that Dotty is a heroine.
