Rising Like a Phoenix!

December 15, 2011

Our new Donkey House grows taller and more detailed each day and the sound of hammers is music to our ears.  All of a sudden, this  buidling is taking shape.  What a pleasure to witness!

The construction firm has told us that all should be finished by Decemberr 23rd.  The roof is being insulated today and tomorrow and the sides will soon be covered. Only a small amount of concrete left to pour (when it stops raining).  Kim is posting photos on Facebook for everyone to enjoy.

As many of you are aware, constructing/renovating anything is unbelievably stressful and three cheers to Kim for superior coordination of the trades.  The donkeys, I know, will be very pleased.

This construction work is truly superb, especially being done in this weather, and such a mammoth task. At my condo we have some repairs that need doing, and the contractor and management put them off until March “because of the weather”. It just proves to me that the Donkey Sanctuary works to a very high standard, regardless of conditions. I’m really impressed!

Fantastic news…….I agree Kim has done an amazing job of co-ordinating this huge project along with all her other duties.

We loved her “donkey talk” on Sunday…she is an excellent speaker and the words are so heartfelt.

    Kudos to all, especially Kim….

The very air of the Sanctuary is bristling with excitment and so is this supporter!
